On March 21st, 2012, at 4:30pm, Les Roches will welcome representatives of local hospitality businesses and tourism authorities, as well as journalists for a presentation and press conference on SHARE.
In 2011, LRG-University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with Les Roches, launched a new academic research center called SHARE, for the Swiss Hospitality Applied Research unit. The objective of SHARE is to focus upon the economic, environmental and social dimensions of a constantly changing global industry made of human interactions and relationships, namely: Hospitality. Additionally, SHARE fosters close research collaboration within the hospitality industry and promotes an exchange of knowledge within its community.
Through applied research, the unit aims at enhancing creativity in the field of hospitality among faculty, students, alumni, industrial partners and authorities as well revealing new business opportunities to all these actors.
SHARE research expertise covers the following themes: hotels, events, restaurant management, marketing strategies for hospitality, food and beverage operations (trends, equipment, design, and safety), consumer behavior, human capital, sustainable development and management, hospitality education, hospitality trends, information and communication technologies for hospitality, host and guest interactions.
During this launch event, Dr Alain Imboden, Deputy Director of Research, will introduce SHARE to our guests mentioning the areas and topics to which SHARE services can apply and will also present the projects already carried out by this research unit. The presentation starts at 4:30 pm and will be followed by a networking cocktail in the school lobby.
