Greetings from Thailand and welcome to the Alumni blogs!
I’m happy to introduce myself, and tell you a little about my life.
I believe I am a unique and precious human being; who is my own best friend and my own worst enemy. A lovable and loving individual in the community, capable enough of realizing my own potential. I am a self-respecting person who is responsible for my own behavior; learning from my mistakes, and creating a joyful life. I was born in Vadrodra City, India. When I was six months old, my family moved to Bangkok, Thailand, where I studied and graduated high school in Ruamrudee International School Bangkok, Thailand. Afterwards, I made plans to study business management in hospitality at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Bluche, Switzerland.
Three words that describe me:
Diligent – I am hardworking and striving to live up to my potential.
Ethical – My religion and values have created my strong view of the world
Ambitious – I have a strong desire for success, and I won’t let go until I have reached that success. Les Roches helps graduates “o enter the hospitality industry in large hotel chains, general hotel management or step into the entrepreneurial world and start their own business.” When I read that, I decided the entrepreneurship stream seemed most challenging and interesting to me. And now as a graduate in Business Administration in Hospitality with Entrepreneurship; and a Merit student with semester average of 80%; I feel I am stepping into the real world of hospitality.
I am now ready to take on new responsibilities and opportunities to further my professional career. After graduating from college, I spent most of my time working in the food & beverage department. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the process, and met some very supportive people in the industry. Currently, I am holding the position of Restaurant & Bar Manager at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Thailand as my first job.
My restaurant ‘Casuarina Beach’ is only five meters from the waves, with an atmosphere of newly planted palms, a setting sun, waves lapping up to the shores and the whisper of the sea breeze through the decorative casuarinas trees. The restaurant seats 180, is open for lunch and dinner, and offers a menu specialized in seafood & steaks.
“Most people never forget their first trip – it is often a memorable experience that stays with them forever.” – Bianca Borrett – Tourism Awards Manager, SA Tourism Commission.
I had many memorable experiences in travel and tourism which inspired me to make it my career. I had a passion for travelling and came up with the idea to join the hospitality industry. Apart from my career, I am very much into photography. As I travel, I keep snapshots as memories, and from time to time I have created albums online to share my travel experiences with others.
