How to Apply

Before you start your online application, please read the instructions carefully. 

Getting Started

We want to ensure you submit the best application possible. For this reason, during the application process, an Education Counselor may get in touch in order to offer assistance. Only when you are happy with your application will it be passed onto the Admissions team for consideration.

To start your application, please fill in the details on page 1 (‘Start an online application`). You will then be sent a username and password which you will need in order to complete your application.

Please use your own private email address. Do not use the email account of another person. Les Roches Admissions Office will send all correspondence during the admissions and selection process to the email address you provide.   

If you need to interrupt your application process at any stage, press the `Save` button at the bottom of the page, and your data will be stored for when you return to it.

For undergraduate students:
Once you have submitted your application documents we will contact you to arrange a compatibility assessment. This assessment allows us to learn more about your profile, your interests. The compatibility assessment will either take place face to face in your home country or via phone or Skype. 


Steps in the Application Process

  1. Using the username and password we send you, fill out the online application form.
  2. On pages 1-4, you will be requested to fill out personal details.
  3. On page 5, you will be requested to submit a set of documents electronically via the ‘Choose File’ tab. Some uploads are deferrable, but you will need to state the date by which you will upload them. Please use the templates provided below for support documents.
  4. You need to fill in all mandatory fields (marked with a red asterisk) before you can officially submit your application.
  5. Submit your application by clicking on ‘Submit Application’ located at the bottom of the page.
  6. Pay your application fee. Download the credit card form, complete, and email to

  • ​Remember to proofread your application (including the documents) before you submit it.
  • Check your email account regularly and make sure your email address is accurate; otherwise, you may not receive updates or important information from Les Roches Admissions Office.
  • Make sure your email account will not block correspondence from Check your junk-mail filter level and make sure you always have enough space available in your inbox.
  • It is not possible to change your application through the online form, once you have submitted it. If you discover that you need to make any changes after submission, please email us on or call the Enrollment Management department on +41 (0)21 989 26 77
  • Only completed applications will be evaluated.



Les Roches has a rolling admissions policy. This means that the applicant’s credentials are evaluated as soon as the application form is received and students can be admitted at any time during the year.

How to Apply

Standard Application:

Please make sure you include all of the items listed here. The Application Form should be filled out on your computer, saved and printed or emailed to Admissions.  Make a copy of all documents for your own records and send the originals by registered mail to the address on the application form.

Email Application: 

Please make sure you include all of the items listed here. The Application Form should be filled out on your computer, saved and emailed to Admissions along with clear, scanned copies of all other items. Original educational transcripts (and translations) will be required and can be sent by registered mail to Admissions. Keep all other original documents for your own records and send only scanned versions unless otherwise requested.
Only completed applications will be evaluated:

  1. LRB Application form signed and dated
  2. Application fee of CHF. 250.-
  3. Passport(s) copy  (For non-Swiss citizens residing in Switzerland, include a copy of residential permit)
  4. 1 copy of AVS/AHV card for Swiss permit and passport holders
    1 Passport Sized Photo
  5. CV or Resume:  A detailed record of academic and/or professional background
  6. Study Plan: An essay of motivation describing why the candidate wishes to study in Les Roches. Average 250-1,000 words with signature and date.
  7. Post Study Plan: An essay explaining what the candidate wishes to do after graduation. This essay should include a statement that the candidate will leave Switzerland upon graduation.  Average 250-1,000 words with signature and date.
  8. Educational Records:
    • Transcripts: Showing all grades received and an explanation of the grading system in English or French. 
    • Copy of final Diploma or Degree.
    • If you are coming from outside of the European Union please include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counsellor.
    • If you have not completed your studies, please send a copy of your results for the last three years.
  9. Official English Certificate: See Academic Requirements by Program
  10. Medical Certificate and Physician’s Report (on the Application Form): The Physician’s report must be completed by a licensed physician with the official stamp. Please also include an official report for any medical conditions that require special attention (learning disabilities, dietary restrictions etc).
  11. Sponsorship Letter: A signed, dated letter from the person who will finance the studies guaranteeing his or her responsibility to cover the tuition fees and all other expenses.
  12. Letter of reference: A signed, dated letter of recommendation from someone who knows you  professionally or academically.  (For Postgraduate and MBA only)

Original documents must be sent for all letters and signed/stamped documents.




Program Start & Application Deadlines

Les Roches has a rolling admissions policy. This means that the applicants credentials are evaluated as soon as the application form is received and students can be admitted at anytime during the year.
A decision is normally reached within three weeks of reception. Please note that it may take anywhere from 4-12 weeks to obtain a visa.
The application deadlines for students who will require a visa to study in Switzerland are indicated below.

  • July/August : Apply by May 15th
  • October: Apply by August 31st
  • January/February : Apply by November 15th
